ABC announces 12 early renewals

On with more ABC news - today they've announced 12 early renewals, none of which are no surprises. They include:

America's Funniest Home Videos, Desperate Housewives, Brothers & Sisters, Dancing with the Stars, The Bachelor, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Lost, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Ugly Betty, Supernanny, Wife Swap

Although Ugly Betty has had a rough season, it will be back for at least 1 more season, mainly for syndication purposes. Unless it has a resurrection, next season may be its last. I'm kind of surprised Wife Swap will be back - it's really seems to have lost its touch this season, as ratings have only been in the 4-5 million range. The others are obvious renewals.

ABC still has many other shows that I guess are on the bubble, but more will be renewed. These are just the early ones. I'd expect Samantha Who? to be back, as well as new freshman drama Castle. The others, like Cupid and The Unusuals, I doubt will be back.
