Second ratings report - hope you enjoy!
(Note: I won't post the (18-49) and (25-54) anymore, as they can make the process time consuming. Just know the first demo listed if 18-49, and the second is 25-54)
Monday, April 13
ABC:
8:00PM DANCING WITH THE STARS - 19.46 million, 12.3/19 HH, 4.6/12 (18-49), 5.9/14 (25-54)
9:32PM SURVIVING SUBURBIA - 9.71 million, 6.3/10 HH, 2.6/6 (18-49), 3.3/7 (25-54)
10:02PM CASTLE - 7.28 million, 4.9/8 HH, 1.9/5 (18-49), 2.5/6 (25-54)
CBS:
8:00PM THE BIG BANG THEORY - 10.06 million, 6.0/9 HH, 3.9/11, 4.5/11
8:30PM HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER - 9.6 million, 5.6/9 HH, 4.1/11, 4.6/11
9:00PM TWO AND A HALF MEN - 15.03 million, 8.8/13 HH, 5.3/13, 6.4/14
9:30PM RULES OF ENGAGEMENT - 11.6 million, 7.0/11 HH, 4.0/10, 5.0/11
10:00PM CSI: MIAMI - 13.39, 8.5/14 HH, 3.7/10, 4.8/12
NBC:
8:00PM CHUCK - 6.21 million, 3.7/6 HH, 2.3/6, 2.6/6
9:00PM HEROES - 6.83 million, 4.1/6 HH, 3.3/8, 3.4/8
10:00PM MEDIUM - 7.65 million, 4.9/8 HH, 2.7/7, 3.4/8
FOX:
8:00PM HOUSE - 12.19 million, 7.4/11 HH, 4.5/12, 5.2/13
9:00PM 24 - 10.86 million, 6.4/10 HH, 3.6/9, 4.4/10
The CW:
8:00PM GOSSIP GIRL-REPEAT - 0.9 million, 0.6/1 HH, 0.4/1, 0.4/1
9:00PM ONE TREE HILL-REPEAT - 0.91 million, 0.7/1 HH, 0.4/1, 0.3/1
My thoughts: Another nice night for CBS. Big Bang Theory, after a few weeks of repeats, saw some very nice growth at 8pm from previous weeks, hitting 10 million again. Meanwhile, Mother decreased viewers but increased demo at 8:30, and both Men and Rules went up as well this week. CSI: Miami, though, is showing its age. Dancing with the Stars had another nice night as usual, and Surviving Surburbia, although showing a decrease from the premiere, remained solid, but Castle went down hugely this week. What happened? All 3 NBC shows saw upticks for some reason. Both Heroes and Medium went up HUGE in the demo from the week before, and Medium is still rocking the 10pm for NBC. House and 24 had a usual night, and I swear, The CW shows more repeats of their shows than new episodes - I'm sick of it.
Tuesday, April 14
ABC:
8:00PM ACCORDING TO JIM - 4.52 million, 3.0/5 HH, 1.2/4, 1.6/4
8:30PM ACCORDING TO JIM - 4.13 million, 2.7/4 HH, 1.2/3, 1.5/4
9:00PM DANCING WITH THE STARS: THE RESULTS - 15.24 million, 9.6/15 HH, 3.5/9, 4.5/10
10:02PM CUPID - 6.1 million, 4.1/7 HH, 1.7/5, 2.2/6
CBS:
8:00PM NCIS-REPEAT - 13.56 million, 8.7/14 HH, 2.6/7, 3.7/9
9:00PM THE MENTALIST-REPEAT - 12.18 million, 7.7/12 HH, 2.4/6, 3.6/8
10:01PM WITHOUT A TRACE - 13.23 million, 8.5/14 HH, 3.0/8, 4.2/10
NBC:
8:00PM BIGGEST LOSER 7 - 9.11 million, 5.6/9 HH, 3.8/10, 4.3/10
10:00PM LAW & ORDER: SVU -REPEAT - 6.49 million, 4.5/7 HH, 2.4/6, 2.7/7
FOX:
8:00PM AMERICAN IDOL TUESDAY - 24.38 million, 13.8/21 HH, 8.5/23, 10.3/25
9:04PM FRINGE THRU 10:03PM ET - 10.15 million, 5.9/9 HH, 4.0/10, 4.7/11
The CW:
8:00PM REAPER - 2.05 million, 1.3/2 HH, 0.9/2, 0.8/2
9:00PM 90210 - 2.13 million, 1.4/2 HH, .2/3, 1.0/2
My thoughts: Idol continues to prove why its the #1 show on television, as this airing was actually above the year ago performance. Fringe was also up from last week, as it should get a full renewal for next season. According to Jim returned to rousing numbers, and both DWTS and Cupid was up from last week, although Cupid should for no reason be renewed. Watch out for this week, as The Unusuals will be airing Tuesday at 10pm, preempting Cupid. Without a Trace saw great numbers, and growth from its Mentalist lead-in, as SVU was a repeat this week on NBC. I think it'll be renewed. 90210 saw an uptick this week, as viewers seem to be finding it again now that its back from repeats.
Wednesday, April 14
ABC:
8:00PM SCRUBS - 5.06 million, 3.2/6 HH, 2.0/7, 2.1/6

8:30PM GARY UNMARRIED-REPEAT - 5.76 million, 3.6/6 HH, 1.8/5, 2.3/6
9:00PM CRIMINAL MINDS-REPEAT - 10.58 million, 6.7/10 HH, 2.5/6, 3.3/8
10:00PM CSI: NY - 12.14 million, 7.8/12 HH, 2.9/8, 3.8/10
NBC:
8:00PM LAW & ORDER-REPEAT - 5.17 million, 3.6/6 HH, 1.2/4, 1.6/5
9:00PM LAW & ORDER: SVU WED-REPEAT - 5.22 million, 3.6/5 HH, 1.4/3, 1.8/4
10:00PM LAW & ORDER-REPEAT - 5.97 million, 4.1/7 HH, 1.7/5, 2.2/6
FOX:
8:00PM BONES-SP WED - 11.01 million, 7.0/12 HH, 3.0/9, 3.8/11
9:00PM AMERICAN IDOL WED - 24.11 million, 14.0/22 HH, 8.2/21, 10.0/23
The CW:
8:00PM AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL - 3.78 million, 2.6/4 HH, 1.8/6, 1.7/5
9:00PM 90210 WED-REPEAT - 0.87 million, 0.7/1 HH, 0.4/1, 0.3/1
My thoughts: Bones is obviously meant for Wednesdays. That's where it's always done best, and was a huge improvement over its Thursday airing. Idol also did nice again. Scrubs and Better Off Ted lost to repeats of Old Christine and Gary Unmarried - not good at all. Scrubs will be ending after this season, and I wouldn't expect Ted to be back. Lost was up from last week's series low, which is a good sign. I'd expect to see it go above 10 million again once the season finale nears. And remember, after this season, we only have 1 more season of Lost to go. The Unusuals was right on par really with Cupid, but Cupid had a much better lead-in, which makes The Unusuals look better. ABC seems to be very keen on this show, so if it can begin to build an audience with its double airings this week, I'd expect to see it back next season. Meanwhile, a whole night of Law & Order on NBC is just degrating to the network, and Top Model continues to lead the pack of the failing CW network, with under 4 million. Does anyone else miss the old days of The WB, when we actually had good family dramas like Everwood? What happened here?
Thursday, April 16
ABC:
8:00PM IN THE MOTHERHOOD - 4.62 million, 3.2/6 HH, 1.4/5, 1.7/5
8:30PM SAMANTHA WHO? - 4.84 million, 3.2/5 HH, 1.5/5, 1.9/5
9:00PM GREY'S ANATOMY-REPEAT - 5.06 million, 3.5/6 HH, 1.4/4, 1.8/5
10:02PM PRIVATE PRACTICE-REPEAT - 4.23 million, 3.0/5 HH, 1.3/4, 1.4/4
CBS:
8:00PM SURVIVOR: TOCANTINS - 11.64 million, 6.8/12 HH, 3.6/11, 4.4/12
9:00PM CSI - 15.72 million, 9.8/16 HH, 3.8/10, 5.1/13
10:02PM HARPER'S ISLAND - 7.82 million, 5.1/9 HH, 2.2/6, 3.0/8
NBC:
8:00PM MY NAME IS EARL - 5.35 million, 3.4/6 HH, 2.2/7, 2.4/7
8:30PM PARKS AND RECREATION - 6.02 million, 3.7/6 HH, 2.5/7, 2.8/7
9:00PM THE OFFICE - 8.37 million, 4.9/8 HH, 4.2/11, 4.1/10
9:31PM 30 ROCK - 7.32 million, 4.3/7 HH, 3.5/9, 3.6/9
10:01PM SOUTHLAND - 9.61 million, 6.1/11 HH, 3.0/9, 3.8/10
FOX:
8:00PM BONES - 8.85 million, 5.7/10 HH, 2.5/8, 3.0/9
9:00PM HELL'S KITCHEN - 8.11 million, 4.7/8 HH, 3.5/9, 4.0/10
The CW:
8:00PM SMALLVILLE-REPEAT - 1.79 million, 1.2/2 HH, 0.7/2, 0.7/2
9:00PM SUPERNATURAL-REPEAT - 1.85 million, 1.2/2 HH, 0.7/2, 0.7/2
My thoughts: Harper's Island turned into a major disappointment, while Southland remained VERY strong for NBC. I find HI to be the much more entertaining show, while Southland has already gotten up my nerves. Why does NBC show have to feel like a documentary?-LOL. Parks and Recreation did okay for its 2nd episode, but nothing special. 30 Rock is having a good season, it really is, but My Name is Earl deserves to be cancelled. NBC would be beyond to stupid to give it another season - it would only go below 5 million if it returned, and that would be disrespectful to the show. Meanwhile, the ABC comedies are disappointing. With Grey's Anatomy returning this week, though, both may see an uptick. I'd especially expect Samantha Who? to go up quite a bit. But, if not, both shows will remain up in the air. Ugly Betty is returning a week earlier than expected, by the way. Bones is only doing modestly on Thursdays, while Hell's Kitchen had a fantastic showing. That was the best retention out of Bones it's had this season, growing nearly more than 20% in the demo.
Friday, April 17 (fast nationals)
ABC:
8:00 WIFE SWAP - 5.46 million, 1.7/7 (18-49)
9:00 SUPERNANNY-REPEAT - 4.71 million, 1.6/5 (18-49)
10:00 20/20 - 5.39 million, 1.4/5 (18-49)
CBS:
8:00 GHOST WHISPERER-REPEAT - 6.58 million, 1.3/5 (18-49)
9:00 FLASHPOINT-REPEAT - 6.38 million, 1.3/4 (18-49)
10:00 NUMB3RS-REPEAT - 6.68 million, 1.6/5 (18-49)
NBC:
8:00 HOWIE DO IT - 3.34 million, 0.9/3 (18-49)
9:00 DATELINE - 5.98 million, 1.5/5 (18-49)
FOX:
8:00 PRISON BREAK-REPEAT - 2.68 million, 0.8/3 (18-49)
9:00 PRISON BREAK - 3.38 million, 1.2/4 (18-49)
The CW:
8:00 EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS-REPEAT - 1.44 million, 0.6/2 (18-49)
8:30 THE GAME-REPEAT - 1.31 million, 0.6/2 (18-49)
My thoughts: With CBS, the only network to keep Friday nights alive, in repeats, you'd think the other networks would take advantage of that. Obviously, they didn't. Prison Break returned to absolute terrible numbers. I for one thought it would have done better, at least 5 million, but I was wrong. Not enough promotion, people didn't know it was on - make whatever excuse you'd like, but this is indeed the final season, and it seems like FOX just doesn't care how it does anymore. Dateline, meanwhile, was an improvement over Friday Night Lights, but not a huge one by anymeans.
Saturday, April 18
ABC:
8:00 Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone - 3.58 million, 1.1/4 (18-49)
CBS:
8:00 CSI: NY-REPEAT - 4.68 million, 0.9/3 (18-49)
9:00 48 HOURS MYSTERY - 6.27 million, 1.4/5 (18-49)
NBC:
8:00 KINGS - 2.41 million, 0.6/2 (18-49)
9:00 LAW & ORDER: SVU-REPEAT - 2.45 million, 0.9/3 (18-49)
10:00 SOUTHLAND-REPEAT - 3.51 million, 0.7/2 (18-49)
FOX:
8:00 NASCAR SPRINT CUP: PHOENIX - 5.17 million, 1.6/6 (18-49)
My thoughts: Kings disappointed, shocker, I know. Besides that, I have no other thoughts. Saturdays have turned into a wasteland, and I for one can't stand it.
Sunday, April 19
ABC:
7:00 AFV - 7.63 million, 2.2/7 (18-49)
8:00 EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION-REPEAT - 7.56 million, 2.2/6 (18-49)
9:00 DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES - 13.65 million, 4.7/11 (18-49)
10:00 BROTHERS & SISTERS - 9.63 million, 3.3/9 (18-49)
CBS:
7:00 60 MINUTES - 11.87 million, 1.8/6 (18-49)
8:00 THE AMAZING RACE 14 - 10.4 million, 3.0/8 (18-49)
9:00 THE COURAGEOUS HEART OF IRENE SENDLER - 9.82 million, 1.5/4 (18-49)
NBC:
7:00 MISS USA PAGEANT 2009 - 4.98 million, 1.4/4 (18-49)
9:00 CELEBRITY APPRENTICE - 8.32 million, 3.2/8 (18-49)
FOX:
7:00 AMERICAN DAD-REPEAT - 2.49 million, 1.1/4 (18-49)
7:30 KING OF THE HILL - 3.34 million, 1.6/5 (18-49)
8:00 THE SIMPSONS - 6.5 million, 3.0/9 (18-49)
8:30 SIT DOWN, SHUT UP - 5.21 million, 2.3/6 (18-49)
9:00 FAMILY GUY - 7.4 million, 3.8/9 (18-49)
9:30 AMERICAN DAD - 5.76 million, 3.0/7 (18-49)
The CW:
7:00 JERICHO-REPEAT - 0.61 million, 0.2/1 (18-49)
8:00 AT FIRST SIGHT - 1.05 million, 0.2/1 (18-49)
My thoughts: Desperate Housewives returned to just okay numbers. After awhile off, you'd think the whole Edie getting killed off storyline would have attracted more buzz. Once we near the season finale, though, it should get back up to its regular 15 million. Brothers & Sisters seems to be having retention problems again. It should be doing 10 million at least. Will ABC have to air a 2-hour movie every month to get it going again?-LOL. Miss USA disappointed, hitting a series low ever, while Celebrity Apprentice had another great showing, building hugely on its lead-in and delivering great total viewer and demo numbers. If anyone's watching, isn't this season a hoot? Joan Rivers is just hysterical sometimes. Amazing Race had a great airing as well, and while I like to see the Hallmark movies every so often, CBS made the right choice by cancelling them as a weekly thing, as their demo is just way too low. And Sit Down, Shut Up is already a huge failure. If it couldn't even hold onto its weakening Simpsons lead-in, you know things aren't good. And Family Guy remains the bright spot of the lineup.
And there you go guys! Enjoy!
