Seems like ABC is still in talks to keep Scrubs on the air for one more full season. Talks of this began in early March, but seemed to die down, until they've finally resurfaced. Creator and producer Bill Lawrence is now busy on his new pilot "Cougar Town," but is interested in continuing with Scrubs. ABC is high on the show, and they really would like another season, as well as another of Better Off Ted. Both shows are critically prasied this season, and the network seems to like both, barring the minimal ratings from both.
If Scrubs were to return, it would be with a totally revamped cast, with only possibly recurring performances from its current actors, some of which are also busy with new pilots. Even though the main cast has already moved on from the show, ABC thinks revamping it could ultimately give it a new life, similar to what NBC has constantly done with ER.
Also, seems like I was right in my guessing - Opportunity Knocks will no longer air on May 26 and June 2. The remaining 4 episodes of According to Jim will air Tuesday at 8pm on these days now, with the season finale airing on June 2. This will now completely Jim's run, with all episodes getting aired. But, Opportunity Knocks will still have all but 3 of its episodes unaired.
