My thoughts: What a terrible schedule. FOX is slacking off in the fall, in my opinion, by bringing in SYTYCD. The show does at best 9-10 million viewers in the summer. In the fall, and up against Dancing with the Stars on Tuesdays, it will most likely get killed. The only pairup I like is Mondays. All Dance on Tuesdays is a big, big mistake. Fringe on Thursdays at 9pm could break the show, up against CSI and Grey's Anatomy. And Fridays are just a disaster. Dollhouse shouldn't have been picked up, but it has been, so what do they pair it with? Comedies, one comedy that can't break 4 million viewers. In my opinion, this comedy hour will be the first to go in the fall.
One thing I noticed: Dollhouse is on all season long. Why? FOX ordered 13 episodes. That's all I see it getting. If it can build some traction and revive itself, though, I have no problem with FOX ordering a back 9 to air in midseason. But, if it goes nowhere, I see it finishing its 13 episodes, and being replaced with Kitchen Nightmares in midseason.
So, missing from the schedule are Hell's Kitchen (which will only air in September to finish out its summer season), Kitchen Nightmares, Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?, and Don't Forget the Lyrics. I can't understand why FOX wouldn't air another Hell's Kitchen in midseason. And I'd be mad if they cancelled the 2 gameshows, as they are always reliable performers. There's an entire season of Kitchen Nightmares ready to be aired as well. I feel bad for their 2 new dramas - both getting stuck in midseason, mainly because of Dance in the fall. What a shame.
What are your comments? I'd love to hear them.

Fox sucks, the only show I like is the amazing House. CBS seems to have the best shows, 75% of what I watch is from CBS.
ReplyDeletewhat a disaster schedule - they have just thrown the towel in on the Fall and Fridays is going to die a very quick death
ReplyDeleteI don't think any of their new shows look good
