Sources are saying that NBC has just renewed "Law & Order" for a 20th season. The episode order is believed to be 16 episodes at this point. It will now officially match Gunsmoke's 20 year record as the longest running TV drama.
NBC will announce their complete plans early tomorrow. Law & Order will most likely serve as a midseason replacement, or as backup in case Leno fails.
